A broadcast quality Up/Down/Cross-Conversion Mini-Converter that can convert between SD, HD and 3G video formats, the UDC provides high quality conversions in a small, cost-effective package.

The UDC is available for $695 US MSRP. Also updated is AJA Mini-Config v2.3.0 to include the UDC.

AJA Releases Drivers for Final Cut Pro X PDF Print E-mail

AJA v10.2 "X Beta" drivers are now available for download, enabling Io XT and the latest KONA cards to be used with the new beta broadcast monitoring feature available in Final Cut Pro x 10.0.3. Support for Io Express and Io HD is coming soon.

AJA has prepared a document that explains how editors can use AJA products with this latest version of Final Cut Pro X. Please click here to download the PDF document by itself. For tape-based capture and playback of Final Cut Pro X material, AJA offers the AJA VTR Xchange application.

The v10.2 X Beta zip archive contains driver software, AJA Control Panel, AJA VTR Xchange and documentation. v10.2 X Beta requires the use of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion.

Please be sure to read thoroughly the documentation included in the v10.2 X Beta download to ensure proper use.

Ki Pro v3.0 firmware Now Available!
 
New Ki Pro v3.0 firmware is now available for download from the AJA website. Ki Pro v3.0 provides a unified firmware release for both the Ki Pro and Ki Pro Mini. This is a major release with tons of significant and exciting new features, such as:

New for Ki Pro

- LANC Support
- RS-422 functionality increased
- ExpressCard/34 support added
- FireWire 800 port enabled
- FireWire 400 port enabled

New for both Ki Pro and Ki Pro Mini

- File transfer over Ethernet
- Continuing to record during a loss of video
- Playlist creation feature added to web UI
- Presets can be created, saved and recalled

The wonder and power of Star Wars as a timeless enterprise is enough to keep the struggling filmmaker's hope alive, or at least enough to get him to whip out his wallet and contribute to the pile of cash Mr. Lucas is now napping on. Hats off to Mr. Lucas who had the vision and foresight to take less on the front-end, and have full hope and confidence of the lucrative merchandising on the backend. In my opinion, Star Wars was the film franchise that solidified the concept of film merchadising on such a massive level. It defined a whole after-market revenue stream that has become its own galactic economy.

Mr. Lucas, here is to you, and your Death Star full of Vader Bills.
