I know this is a compressor thread but it falls into the same category. I have a clip that was HD. Captured it and than made a self contained file to encode to a mpeg 1 file using squeeze. It stopped about half way through. The self contained file was 35GB so I thought to export the QT file to DV/NTSC to get the file size down. It ended up to be 4.5 GB. Well I tried it again in squeeze and it did the same thing. After the fourth try on different machines I am perplexed. The file needs to be a mpeg 1 for a PowerPoint.

All you need is a little magic dust and me sitting at the machine and it will all work.

I just cut it to 16x9 (cut off the bars) and set the bitrate to 1500 CBR. Worked like a charm. Next time, just wait for the master... ha ha ha

This little application is great! It will clean up Apple Compressor's preferences if you have a stuck render happening in your Batch Monitor.
