Say you could have any 3 EOS lenses, but only 3, and those would be the ones for all your projects, which ones would be so totally ideal?

(this works for the 7D, too, of course)

I have talked to allot of people that would say the holy trinity of lenses would be the 16-35, 24-70, and the 70-200 all f2.8.
For me, I don't know that I can live without my 70-200 f2.8 and 16-35 f2.8, the third lens is the harder choice but I think it would be the 50mm f1.2.

If I was thinking about prime lenses only I would go with the 24mm f1.4, 50mm f1.4 and the 135mm f2.

I like the 24-70mm, 2.8 with macro, the 70-200mm with IS and a fixed 50mm Nikon 1.8

Excited to try compact primes- anyone used them yet?

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Everyone seems pretty unanimous. I'm in the market to buy some of those if anyone knows someone who's selling. Otherwise, I'll just get them new.

More specifically the 16-35mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8, and the 50mm f/1.4
