"Canon has announced a new plug-in for Final Cut Pro, EOS E1. Set to appear on Apple's website later today, the software is designed to import video from a handful of Canon's DSLR cameras. The current compatibility list includes the EOS-7D, the 5D Mk. II, and the 1D Mk. IV.

The advantage of the plug-in is said to be support for Log and Transfer, which lets people select and mark video before copying it off-camera. At the same time, people can add custom metadata and begin editing work before all clips have been transferred. The plug-in will be a free download for owners of Final Cut Pro 6 or later."
We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Anyone that is using a Canon Rebel T2i will find that this plug-in does not work at first. Here are two links explaining how to get it to work. After I changed the file, everything worked fine for me.
