Any one seen Inception? What did you think of it? Is it worth $9?

I'm hoping to see it soon. Tried to see it last weekend, but the little one was sick. My question is, is it worth a THEATER experience? Or do I just wait for it on DVD? Pay $1 for a DVD rental, or pay 800% more to sit in a Theater.

Yeah, I have to say...I'm tiered of sitting next to the person who texts or talks during a movie. Much nicer at home where I can also take a bathroom break.

I'm interested in seeing it in the theatre. I'm encouraged that for this story, the bloodless (i.e.: "non-organic") CGI actually makes sense for the concept. Too much CGI is heavily influenced and commissioned by the gaming industry in an attempt to secure their demographics, IMHO.

It was worth a theatre visit. The vast amount of CG didn't bother me much because there was an "other worldly" quality about most of the scenes. Not quite as fabricated as "Avatar" mind you but enough to justify using some clever CG images. Visually the film is very gripping and I think it would lose some of its power on a TV screen.

Nolan is known for not using much CG, so what little he used was impressive. (SPOILERS) Especially in the Hotel room scene, none of that was CG, it was all done with rotating stages and wires (which were painted out later.)

I loved this movie. It was so cool. What a great story. I've never sat through a long movie with out realizing how long it was. This movie felt like it was only 30 minutes long. I was sucked into the story and love the logical explanations for how this "dream technology" works. I woke up from a dream the night before I saw this by falling in my dream and kicking up in the air in real life. I can't wait to watch this again and look at certain clues in better detail. It would be cool to have a "spoiler" thread and see what peoples impressions where. There was one thing in there that didn't add up, but mentioning it would ruin the movie.

I saw it once in the theatre and once on IMAX, and if you get the chance I definitely recommend seeing it on an IMAX screen. The picture quality is amazing, and the audio is SOOOO much better.

This is definitely the best film I've seen in a really long time. It seems to be one of those films people can't stop talking about long after they've left the theatre. I felt that it was totally worth the $12 I dropped at Jordan Commons.

Without spoiling anything, the hotel/elevator scene is AMAZING! I really hope they do a behind the scenes that explains how those sequences were shot. Very cool.

I agree, the film was far from the cookie-cutter Hollywood duplicates that have plagued the entertainment industry. It was fresh, unique, and relatable on a human level, as all of us have some sort of experience with the phenomenon of dreams.
