I have been involved with putting together many Network Storage Solutions and most of which are out of the budget range of many local studios. We have so many with 4-6 seats editing in one location and wanting to share media. Apple offers one by Promise raid that is in the $35k range which is awesome performance but high on price. I have found one and has been installed and running at a studio now for over a month with no glitches. We have been so impressed by the performance and price I wanted to put a post out there. Cost is under $15k for 8TB. Do what ever raid you want be it a raid 5 or what ever. Everyone can digitize or write to it and read from it even the same file all at the same time even multiple times. Love it. Now instead of moving files to an external and taking it to "Edit 5" we just leave him a message that it is ready to go in "X" folder, then when he is done bam move to audio etc... Is this a proprietary system? Or custom built? Or is their a vendor putting together this Network Storage Solutions for editing on a Mac in a Final Cut Environment?

It is somewhat a proprietary system but the base comes from a main manufacture. We add a few pieces to it and to some onsite setup and install. That is all included.
