I cant get the canon xha1 to import to final cut 6. I've done it before but now it's not working. I've tried restarting my computer and it's just not working. Any suggestions someone could send me like absolute proper capture settings? It would be greatly appreciated. Or was there a software update that is screwing up the process?

Are you connecting via firewire? Is Final Cut recognizing the camera, but just not capturing it? More specifics will get you a better answer from the community.

final cut will not recognize the camera at all. imovie will. i have it hooked to my macbookpro with firewire 800. we shot in 24fps and the guy from tv specialist said that final cut has a problem recognizing that format. any other insight would be helpful. is there a plugin we could get to recognize that format?

If you are connecting your camera and hard drive on the same firewire bus you will have problems. You will need a firewire pci express card. One like these: eshop.macsales.com/shop/firewire/add-ons...ubs/pci-pcmcia-cards
