I recently graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Film Studies, and like most students, who were once hopeful optimists and are now bitter cynics, I have realized that, not only is my next student film not going to skyrocket me into stardom, but I'm having problems just finding a job.

Does anyone know good resources to help students find jobs/internships/apprenticeships? Or even just places to network and meet people who are willing to share their knowledge about the industry? (besides this wonderful site of course!)

I would find a company I like and try to get an internship. Go to the monthly meetings and network with others. You will also want to check out CreativeCow.net. on the bottom of the main page is a section for finding Lower Pay Jobs and another to post a Job you're looking for. Best of luck.

The LDS Motion Picture Studio (MPS) in Provo seems to routinely have internships for students and recent graduates open in Production and Post Production. You might try there. Even if you're not LDS. (Strangely enough, it's easier to get hired there if you aren't)
