What has been the most successful marketing techniques you have implemented when marketing your media production services? Word of mouth? Google Adwords? Phone Book ? Mailers? Demo Reels mailed out?

What has helped you peak the client's interest and close the deal?
We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

I've found that encoding my projects to Flash Video and archiving them on my website is very useful when I want to show a prospective client a specific type of video. I recommend Sorenson Squeeze for Flash encoding, especially if you have a lot of source material shot in 24p.

I agree - As soon as I made my 2 demo reels, and created a site my business increased tremendously.

I rely on word of mouth, repeat business, and craigslist. Once you have a link to a reel potential clients can immediately see if you're what they're looking for.

I don't think the site helped me get more leads as much as it helped secured more jobs through the leads I had.

I've been busy enough that I really haven't had to actively seek work,.. for the most part.

I don't even have business cards, ha ha.
