How many editors use Soundtrack Pro other then pulling SFX from it, I mean really use it?

I only really use it for cleaning up hiss or hum from bad audio. I don't like the way the "sending" a track out of FCP works, it seems cumbersome and destructive. So, I usually always make a backup sequence FIRST. But, Soundtrack's noise filtering is nice, just like Audition (which I prefer).

I've also been using it lately to record audio from a USB mic for simple voice overs. But for most work I just use FCP and always have. Even when I worked a lot in Avid I preferred to just do the audio editing right in there.

The only time I really use it as it was designed is if I have a locked, final cut of my edit, and the edit requires some higher level of sound design, mixing, and foley work. Then I export the mix, and bring it back into Final Cut Pro for a master export.

For most low-budget projects, I'll simply mix in Final Cut Pro. But when the job requires a high level of audio attention, I'll turn to SoundTrack Pro. Hey, I know Walter Murch uses it, either that or Apple pays him to pretend to use it!
