Lately, I have been getting a lot of requests to capture video from a web page or website to include in a FCP project.

I have been using Screenium www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/video/screenium.html and it seems to work pretty well, but I was wondering if anyone else has experience with this, and whether there's a better app out there for this type of workflow?

The resolution captured in Screenium isn't bad, but probably not the quality you would get setting up an HD camera and just shooting the computer screen.

Anyone out there feel like sounding off on this? Help and advice are always appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would have to say after using a myriad of products, I have come to the conclusion that SCREENFLOW rules them all!

Makes life easy! I am almost certain that it is the same software Apple Computer uses to create it's online screencasts.

I would have to agree with CSC. Screenflow is the best.

The Vizh08 is a man of wisdom! He uses screenflow to record screencast demos for the products he develops for his company, HIGHTRONICS.

Awesome, thanks for the tip. I'll download the trial version and give it a spin.

One thing that I do like about Screenium is that it allows you to make 30 second video files without purchasing a license, nice if you're using it for short projects or working on little or no budget.

On a different note, does anyone else think the 'Oh My' emoticon looks a little like Hitler? lol Okay, sorry, I'll stay on topic...

Hey CSC thanks for getting the name out. HIGHTRONICS will soon be a house hold name.
