Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Premiere, Avid, & the Automatic Duck

On Thursday, March 5th, 2009 7:00 PM, Mac Docs, held our users group meeting. We saw Automatic Duck's, Wes Plate, demonstrate The Duck's powerful timeline translation plug-ins employed by Final Cut Pro users the world over.

Automatic Duck, Inc. was founded by Harry Plate and Wes Plate, father and son respectively. Wes' background is as a creative editor, offlining regional and national commercials. Wes edited primarily on Avid Media Composers often in concert with Adobe After Effects. Harry has been a software engineer for many years (and has two Masters degrees), having worked for Texas Instruments, Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technology.

Pro Import FCP

Congratulations to Adus Dorsey who won the Automatic Duck software at the meeting in March 2009. Adus is an Independent Filmmaker & Historian, and drove 200 miles to be with us at the meeting. You deserve it Adus!

Wes Plate is the president of Automatic Duck, Inc. During his early years as an Avid editor in Seattle, Wes was well known for his creative cutting and his editing speed.
