9TH LDS FILM FESTIVAL 2010 OPENS WEDNESDAY
The LDS Film Festival has established itself as a major festival in Utah, drawing over 7000 attendees in 2009. This year, over 100 films will be showcased from Wednesday through Saturday, January 20-23, 2010. Come and enjoy the unique festival atmosphere this week at the SCERA Center for the Arts in Orem, Utah.

The LDS Film Festival will premiere a number of independent feature films, including You're So Cupid, The Yankles, Sundance Skippy, Humble Pie, and White on Rice. Additional features include a 10-year anniversary screening of the original print of God's Army, Audience Alliance's first feature film Broken Hill set in the Australian outback, and the Mexican-produced Melted Hearts.

The festival also offers special screenings of numerous documentary films and shorter format dramatic films from around the world.
Additional highlights of the LDS Film Festival include the 24-Hour Filmmaking Marathon (short films produced in only 24 hours prior to the festival), the Short Film Competition programs, and insightful Filmmaker Presentations, highlighting aspects of filmmaking from development, pre-production, production to post-production and distribution. Come join us for the Opening Night with the world premiere of John Lyde's newest film, You're So Cupid, tomorrow, Wednesday, January 20, at 7:00 p.m. and mingle with other filmmakers prior to the screening.
