Deleting the user preferences and creating a new project and opening it up then closing it down reset it and allowed me to open up my project without the error. You'd think Avid would address this error. I get it at least 3 times a week editing on my Mac Book Pro.

Christopher S. Clark created a new topic Avid Error "Segmentation fault" in thread in the forum.I keep getting this error in Avid Media Composer 6.0.1 upon launch, and then the program shuts down:
I know it has something to do with loading the user settings. Any ideas how to permanently fix this issue? It's been a huge time waster.
